Twelve by Twelve - Month Ten {Eyes}

Wow! October has FLOWN by! This months blog post was "eyes". During my session with kids, one of my favorite things to capture are their genuine expressions. Don't get me wrong, smiling pictures are amazing, but when their lively eyes connect with my lens, smiling or not, just tugs at my heart strings! Next up is the talented Reilly with Reilly Maguire Photography.

Twelve by Twelve - Month Seven {laughter}

I'm back! I missed a few months so obviously my procrastination has not gotten any better since the last time I said I needed to work on it, but that's how procrastination works, right?
This month, I chose the topic laughter. I feel like at every session you can get the picture that just captures a genuine, I don't even see the camera in front of me, smile. This session was a little bit harder to do that because it was two kids under the age of two, one of which is going through a "if you try to make me model for you, I will cut you" stage, but she caved a few times.

If you missed the post before me it was with Ashley with Ashley Yvonne Photography.
Next up on the blog circle is Melissa with Contemporary Captures Photography.

Twelve by Twelve - Month Four {favorite color}

I am so bummed I missed out on last months post but this month I knew I had to at least get SOMETHING in. I know I am not the only one who procrastinates and let's life get in the way. I really need to work on that!
This month Reilly of Reilly Maguire Photography chose the theme 'favorite color'! After checking out my logo and my blog it might be obvious what my favorite colors are. If you guessed teal and peach, you are correct! They are just SO versatile and compliment colors so nicely! Anytime a client asks me for my opinion on an outfit selection, I always lean to adding something peach or teal in.
Below is a session I did with my sister and her husband to announce that they were expecting their FIRST child. Better believe their baby shower gift will either be teal or peach ;)

Dare I say it... but check out that teal in those bubbles!! It's the little things that make my heart skip a beat.

Next up on the blog circle is Amy with Apple Street Productions. Go check out her post. I'll give you a hint of what her favorite color is and say I REALLY enjoyed it ;).
Also, be sure to go to the Twelve by Twelve Facebook page and share an image with your favorite picture!

Month Two {Home is where the heart is}

Well, here we are in month two and it has been a crazy month. Not only are we short on days, but it's also the second month of the year so I feel like there is always so much to do! Or is that just me?
This month, being that it is the "month of love" I decided to use an image I took of my three kiddos in the bench outside of our home. It is in no means a technically perfect image, but it shows what my heart loves and wherever they are, I am at home. For those of you that don't know, my youngest is actually my niece. My husband and I are in the process of adopting her. This image represents the topic so well for me because a home isn't always represented in the traditional sense. A home is made up of all the people you love, and all the people in your life you want to share that unconditional love with. We were just lucky enough to get an addition into our home to add to our love.

Next up on the blog circle is Kristie Serra Photography. Hope to see you next month!

Twelve by Twelve Project {January: Us}

Welcome to the first month of Twelve by Twelve's blog circle. It is a group of twelve photographers on a monthly journey over the course of 2015. Since it is the first of the twelve posts, I guess I will introduce myself. Something quick because let's face it, it's weird talking about yourself.
I am Jen with Shooting for Keeps Photography. I am a Land O' Lakes photographer but also travel to Lutz, Tampa, and surrounding areas. I love to photograph families. The beginning of a family when it is just you and your spouse, the first addition to your family, and every year in between. I love to capture moments I know will be cherished. I am raising three kids, two biological and one foster, that inspire me daily for photographs. Which leads me to my "us" session. My sister wanted to take some pictures and I brought my daughter along for a few of the shots. I just love their sweet moments together that were captured.

"Us"

I hope you will join in on the fun next month! Don't forget to check out the Facebook page to submit some images of your own!

Violet 7 Month {Tampa Child Photographer}

I can't believe the tiny newborn I photographed that could fit inside a fireman's helmet is now practically standing on her own at 7 months! She is such a doll baby and I can't get enough of her gorgeous little face. Check out that smile and those eyes!

Cait Taylor's Spontaneous Session {Land O' Lakes Photographer}

If you know my sister at all, you know she is no newbie when it comes to being in front of the camera. If I am ever itching for a fun session, I can just call her up and brainstorm some fun ideas. This session came about after she came over with an edgy outfit she wanted a few pictures in. After we stopped at the gas station for some double bubble and a bottle of coke, the magic happened :) It started to rain 10 minutes after we got there but we were able to get some shots before running like cheetahs to our car. Check it out.
